Kylie Makel
Kylie grew up in Northern Virginia and received her associates degree in general studies from Northern Virginia Community College in 2018. After spending 5 years working at a dog daycare and boarding facility, Kylie decided to further her passion for caring for animals by joining the Animals First team as a veterinary assistant. When she’s not in the office helping care for your pets, you can find her at home with her own dogs, Luna and Phoebe the Siberian Huskies. In her free time Kylie runs a dog parenting blog and dog related creates content on social media.
Emily Timberlake, LVT
Emily grew up here in Rixeyville Virginia. She recently graduated and earned her veterinary technician’s license. Emily has worked with large and small animals in clinic settings, and has several animals of her own. She has a small breeding herd of Nigerian Dwarf Dairy goats, Boston Terriers, a French Bulldog, and an Australian Cattle dog. Her son also enjoys the animals, and even has his own guinea pigs and a hedgehog. She spends most of her free time with her husband and son. She also enjoys hunting, reading and music.
