Animals First Veterinary Service places its emphasizes on individual patient care. This practice is owned by Dr. Lori Blankenship and is conveniently located 30 minutes from both the town of Culpeper and the town of Warrenton in Rixeyville, Virginia. We are fortunate enough to offer our clients a relaxing house call appointment for those patients, or owners, who do not enjoy a car trip or feel more comfortable in their own homes. We also offer a private in office appointment if you wish in our own home office. We pride ourselves on offering a hassle free, complete appointment for you at either location. We are small enough to spend the extra time needed for each patient and large enough to provided as your immediate needs.
We use complementary medicine to treat, support, and heal your pets from the inside out. By nurturing your pet’s physical and emotional self, we are able to offer our patients a more complete picture of health!
We welcome cats, dogs, and horses at any life stage looking to better their diets, physical health, and emotional health. We are equipped to preform your yearly check-up, including in house laboratory work and many specialized test needed for a complete exam. We also offer personal care for your aged pets. Where other conventional treatments hit dead ends, we are able to use our knowledge of Chinese medicine, homeopathy, and western herbal medicine, and modern medicine to offer new solutions for you and your pets.
